Sorry its been so long since my last post! I'm bad! :o) Well a lot has gone on since my last post... Kaika and I are engaged! *YEAH*

And I guess everything else is just news :o) lol JK but life is fun and fast down here so I'm sorry for not keepin up on the blog. So I'm just going to post some random pics from my latest adventures :o) Hope you enjoy!

This is our sweet lil nephew Donny Jr. He is sure a cutie! I can't wait to meet him!!!

This is a weekend that April, Nick, Kaikaa and I went fishing out in the lagoon. It was such a cool little nature spot... we had such a blast! And we saw these crazy racoons fishing the shallows! Nature sure is cool!!

Kaikaa had a lil fall in the backyard and broke his collar bone (eek) and had to have surgery, hence the arm sling. He did really well with the surgery and is doing a LOT better now! It seems to have healed well, but being laid up didn't stop us from rootin for the 49'ers! *WOOT*

And my latest weekend project... HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS!! *hehe* I carved these ones this weekend and I painted the lil ones last weekend. I have to finish a few other things and put of the spider webs and then I will be set! *YEAH* I will take pics and try REALLY hard to post them!!

These are pictures are from April and Nick's backyard wedding! It was very small and intimate... we were honored to be a part of our new friends' greatest adventure!!!

These are just some newer pictures of me! I got my hair cut and colored for the summer and YES there is a little new nose bling! (Sorry Mama!!!) But u have to admit... I look cute!!

These are all the newest garden pictures! We are loving the garden this year and have working outside a LOT this summer! Giving the yard some Kaikaa and Cassie!!!!

That was the cake from Kaikaa's bday! I couldn't resist!! How perfect was it for him!? Also there is new pics of me and my baby PK! I think these are some of the only ones I have taken with her!! :o)

Growin up TOO fast!!!!

Hey all! Sorry its taken me so long! I've been on-the-go busy as usual! :o) I finally am getting to post my pics from my March trip up to Washington... and all I can say is that those kids are growing up WAY TOO FAST!!! It didn't seem like I was gone that long until I went Home. Kids are always a great indicator of how OLD we're getting, aren't they? LOL! Seriously though, I was so happy to get a little taste of home, and to see my awesome family! I love them!!!!!! Here are just a few pics of the kiddos. :o) It was a great visit... but next time it MUST be longer!!!!!!!!

Stop & Smell the Roses

Hello! I thought I needed to post since its been a lil while! The new job is still super sweet! I love it! Although I have been VERY tired since starting, since I am running around like a crazy person all day! I work in a SUPER busy Dr.'s Office and we have 5 Dr.s and 1 RN... thank goodness for my other 2 front office ladies.... we are all always running around crazy! It makes for a very fast work week and the days are just FLYING by! I have even lost 3 pounds since working there for only 3 weeks! :o) If I keep this up I'll be ready for summer!! LOL

Seriously though, I have been very busy the past few weeks. Kaikaa and I have started to take a beach walk 3 times a week since I get off work at 4:30 we still have time for a nice walk and we are catchin the sunsets 3 nitghts a week. :o) It has been so nice to have time for just the 2 of us. I really feel it gives us time to stop all of the outside "noise" and just have some "us" time.... it is wonderful and I recommend a walk with your love! MAKE TIME!!! It is TOTALLY worth it!!! Kaikaa said it best when he dropped off roses at work for me last week... he told me.... Even though you are busy... don't forget to stop and smell the roses!

~Tide Pools ROCK~

So I have to say that tide pools ROCK!! Here are some pictures of me and my friends. The first couple pics are of me and my friend April. She is like the first REAL friend that I have made down here. She is so awesome! The picture with us 3 girls is Christina me and April. April, her fiance' Nick, Kaikaa and I have hit the tide pools a TON lately! (It definantly helps with getting rid of the holiday weight!) We really like to check out the tide pools, cuz thats where you find the best shells and critters! Kaikaa LOVES it!! He is always finding weird little creatures... its like watchin the Croc Hunter, except I've been calling him the tide pool hunter! :o) My own personal guide to the ocean creatures! LOL!

Well, I gotta get ready for work! Just thought I'd post some new pictures!

NEW JOB ACCOMPLISHED!!

WOO HOO! I found out yesterday at lunch time that I got the job I interviewed for on Monday night. I am so excited.... yet a little torn.

I am excited about the oppurtunities that this new job will offer. I work full time 5 days a week... I get EVERY weekend off! I work from 7:30-4:30 which is SO FANTASTIC, because we can actually eat dinner at a decent time (which will help with my weight loss after the holiday season) So the job is a human Dr's office. They have gernal practice Drs, Pediatricians, also they have a Esthatitionist, and a dietary nurse! I am way stoked about it. They also offer to help further your education! SO Cassie Jo could actually become a NURSE!!! :o) So that is the goal really... get my foot in the door, and go for my degree. A nurse really fits me I think, and I know I would be good at it!

The part that I am torn about is that I love everyone I work with now! Its so hard to quit a job that you like. Its easy to leave a work place if you are mad or unhappy about working there. It makes it hard to leave if you care about the people you work with and work for. I love everyone at FCVH, and I'm sad about leaving after next week.... but I really have to consider many things, like insurance, stability, and the ability to move up within the work place....So I guess its a hard life lesson.... but you know me..... the marshmallow!I'm just so stoked that I am on the road to success! I knew 2009 would be my year!!!!*~*WOOT*~**Cassie*Jo*

SPIKE!!!

So, Kaikaa brought home a new pet for us this weekend! I was so excited I rushed outside (in hopes of finding a puppy!) and found this awesome lil guy we are calling Spike. He is an African Spurred Tortoise. He is VERY neat! At first I was like.... ARE U KIDDING ME? But after the last couple days I really like him! He is so curious and LOVES our yard! PK is very curious about him as well, I don't think she really knows what to think about him.... (a rock that moves!!) Here are some pics of Spike's first day here... more to come I'm sure!

Thanksgiving 2008

So I spent Thanksgiving with Tim and Susan and their family. It was good that Susan was out of commission, cuz it kept me busy in the kitchen so I didn't have to be bumming over not being home for the Holiday. (Although I did still think about it the entire time) I did have a good time tho! I was also devising my plans to have Thanksgiving at my house next year. I enjoy cooking in my own kitchen and I found out a lot of our couple friends down here have family far away as well, so in essence it would be perfect to have a pot luck style Thanksgiving for next year! :o)

Well I hope you enjoyed the pictures, I know I didn't take a whole lot.... but that just means Thanksgiving was a success!! :o)

My Double Dozen Birthday (24)

Hey guys! I had a harder time than I thought I would being away from Family and Friends for my birthday, but it was still very nice. I was very bummed at first, but I found that I have more friends down here than I really thought. I am very thankful and blessed. Although I do miss home :o) ALWAYS will I guess!! *hehe* Here are some pics from the party

So Teresa and Erin both came down here just for my birthday and I couldn't have been happier. I love them so much. My sistas! Anyhow, they stayed the night and we went to the Butterfly Park and to the beach in Pismo. I had SO much fun!!

Here are some pictures of us hangin at the house... PLAYED hard this weekend and it was a blast.... all in all... not too bad for a Double Dozen Birthday!

The Story of Kaikaa and Oranges

Hey guys!! So you all know I work for a Veterinary Hospital. They are very wonderful people and I am so happy that they have welcomed me into their family. They have also welcomed Kaikaa and PK into the family which is even BETTER!!

Well I will cut to the chase of the blog.... The Bergs (which are the 2 Vets I work for) have a cat named Oranges. Oranges was slammed in a door when he was a little kitten, and the people that owned him brought him to Dr Kimberly Berg's hosiptal that she was working at. Needless to say that when they found out how much it would cost and how much care was involved afterwards they were ready to put Oranges down. Kim had such a love for Oranges that she did what she could for him and took him home. Oranges has lived with them for a number of years now and is in good health. He pulls himself around with his front legs and is QUITE buffed out up top. He is a fabulous cat and doesn't know any differently. As far as he is concerned he is just another normal cat. He scoots around the house, gets where he needs to go, plays with the Bergs' 3 daughters, he is pretty QUICK, and even climbs the stairs in their house.

Well a couple weekends ago, Kaikaa met Oranges at the Harvest Festival even in our little town. He instantly had a connection with Oranges and felt for him. Kaikaa has been through so much and I know that he really wanted to help Oranges become even more mobile!

That same weekend Kaikaa was up early on Sunday morning and had already started crafting a wheel chair for Oranges. It is amazing how Kaikaa's mind works! He took a bunch of junk from around his garage and crafted Oranges a set of wheels!

Kaikaa brought the finished product down to the hospital and Oranges really liked the wheels. He was going so fast he tipped over. Now Kaikaa is on a mission to improve the Oranges- Mobile so that he can go as fast as he wants, wherever he wants :o) I will post a picture of the finished version with Oranges in it when I get it!!!

I was so touched I had to share the sweet story with you :o)

Sorry I haven't posted in a while!! :o) I've been busy with work... and well life in general... but seriously, what's new? I was so super blessed to have my Mom and my sister Rachel and her kiddos Lexie Kodie and Christopher stay with us for a long weekend. It was SO MUCH FUN having them here with me! I didn't want them to leave!! :'o) We had such a great time! It took me a while to post this cuz it made me sad that they were gone, but then I remembered how SUPER GOOD it felt when they were here so I HAD to share the great time we had! Here are some fun pictures from their stay in California with Kaikaa and I. Hope you enjoy!!

We went shopping in Old Arroyo Grande. We deffinently had some fun there! :o) We even met ELVIS!!!!

These first few shots were in Pismo Beach! We had a really good time there. We found a TON of shells and played in the Ocean. We had a BLAST! Baby Christopher got a new beach hat from Nana... it is just the sweetest.

We went to the Pier for Mom's birthday dinner. The food was excellent and the kids LOVED the seals!! They even had plexy glass so we could see the ocean while we were eating! The kids were so good we took them out for icecream afterwards!

I guess some kids never grow up!! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!! I know that I really enjoyed having them down here..... it was hard to see them go. I realized how much I miss them and love them. Guess that's part of growing up.... but I think I'll stay a kid the rest of my life.... life feels better that way.

Hey Look Mom! I even wear my helmet!! :o) I'm such a nerd.... but nerd or not I'm still beating the gas prices!! :o) This thing takes me all the way down the 5 cities area and back on a tank and a half of gas!!

I'm still learning all of the safety stuff that comes with it, but Kaikaa is being a very good teacher! Pretty soon I can drive this baby to work!! :o)

~Car Show~

Yeah! It's that time of year down here! Its CAR SHOW TIME!! *yeah* We went to our first car show and we had such a great time!! It was a perfect day for a show n shine!

Well we had an excellent time! Kaikaa even sold some raffle tickets!! He is raffling off the 1977 truck, so that we can take the 1965 that is up at my Mom's in WA, and fix that one up for 100% charity! :o) The 1964 we are going to fix up and keep for ourselves but that is a separate project. Just pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of many to help these kids out! :o)

Need a lil help from my friends and loved ones!!!

o my friends and Loved ones, Hey! I know I might be asking a lot, but I was hoping that you could help me out. If you get some time, would you help me try to get Kaikaa on a show called Overhaulin'? It is a show that takes someone's old car and makes it like brand new. Kaikaa was hurt in that accident on the job, and has been trying to help kids with the truck that he currently has. He is selling $10.00 raffle tickets and is going to give the money to a children's charity. We are also trying to start a non-profit organization, that will take custom rigs and raffle them off for the children's charity. His 1977 is the first of many we are hoping. I know taking time out of your day is asking a lot, but I know that we all forward those letters in hopes to help people.... well this is an opportunity to REALLY help someone. Kaikaa wants to talk to the Overhaulin' guys and see if they can help us to get this thing started. I know that this will touch his heart. He has been very discouraged lately, because he feels like no matter how hard he is trying, he just can't get anyone to help us. SO, my loved one.... would you PLEASE email this man Carson Levemail foosedesignvp@verizon.net This is the guy that picks people for the show. Getting him on the show is not the main goal, however. We really need to get Kaikaa to talk with Chip Foose, who is the host of that show, so Kaikaa can tell him the ideas that he has for this non-profit project. I'M BEGGING YOU GUYS!! PLEASE help me. Kaikaa is so passionate about this idea and he really wants to do this! Just write this guy Carson a SHORT email saying that Kaikaa has a great idea for customizing trucks and raffling them off for charity. His Custom Cars and Trucks for Kids could REALLY take off if we all get together on this to help pump these guys up!! ~Kaikaa's Birthday BBQ~

We had a Birthday BBQ for Kaikaa's birthday! It was so much fun! We had a Hawaiian theme, and that was a LOT of fun! We were so crazy the week before, trying to get everything perfect... and in the end I think everyone had FUN! I know I did!

Here is a picture of me and the girls! Candice, Amanda and Jenaire. We had such a great time! All of our neighbors came too!

Here is Kaikaa with our neighbors from the rental, Steve and Tricia! We LOVE THEM!! They are such cool, very down-to-earth people... plus if it wasn't for Tricia I would've come unglued! She was such an awesome help... I never had to ask, she just jumped in! They are such great people to know!

Finally Some INSIDE info!

Here is the view of our house from the street.... pretty cute! 2 car garage plus 6 cars can park in the driveway, and there is an RV pad a little more to the left.

Here is our Doorway... I just love all the little details!

Like the built in welcome above the door.... the doorbell is also a lighthouse scene! Every time I open the door, I think of you Mom!

Here is the first bedroom... which will be a smaller guest bedroom... so really its storage right now... the cool thing is, every room has a fan AND built in shelves.

This is the larger guest bedroom... which has a killer closet, which I have claimed! :o) hehe

Here is the craft room... there are 3 work stations.... one for the computer one is the sewing machine and such, and the other is for work space.... like my cards and scrap booking. See the shelves at the top? Those are in every room! Totally awesome for knick-knacks.

FINALLY!!! A place to call HOME!

FINALLY! We are in the new house! And we couldn't be happier! It has been such a long and slow process of finding a place we both love, and then jumping through all of the home-buying hoops. But thank you Jesus, we finally made it home! PK seems to be loving her new "jungle". Here are some pictures of the back yard. We are still putting the house together, so I wanted to wait until I take pictures of the inside! We have the sweetest neighbors in the world. The Lord has truly blessed us with this home, and this life. Our neighbors across the street brought us a homemade Pineapple upside down cake, and it was DELICIOUS!! Kaikaa was really touched, since he hasn't had one since he was back home in Hawaii. The neighbors next door came over and mowed our lawn the day that we moved in! JEEZ! We are so lucky! I can't wait until we get the house together so we can have them over for a BBQ! I also can't wait for all of you to come visit us so we can have get togethers! ~Big Falls~

Yesterday we went to Big Falls! It was so beautiful!!! It was both mine and Candice's first time out there! It was such a blast! :o) Met some good people, and had a great hike! It was so nice to get out and be in God's glorious back yard! There were guys jumping off the cliffs into the water, but I wasn't about ready to go there! So Candice and I went down the naturally formed water slide... that was a RUSH!! I was still shaking with adrenaline like 10 min afterwards!! :o) I'd do it again in a heart beat! Busy DAY!!!

SO! Yesterday was a BLAST!! Kaikaa and I went for a beach walk, and that was so much fun! We just got to enjoy the beach together and get some great excercize! Then we met up with Justin Candice Neveah and Mikey. We all went for a ride down to the beach. It was PRETTY windy so we desided to go to the park and play some Basketball and hang out. That was a blast!! I really like Candice and I'm glad I met her and Amanda... I was beginning to wonder if I was EVER going to meet and cool chicks! :o) Well, we are keeping busy and trying to keep out minds off of the house and closing and all that jazz. I guess today might be the day... but that's what they said about friday before and then last tuesday..... I just pray that everything goes off without a hitch!!

Katelyn's Birthday Party

Well, on Sunday we got to help celebrate Katelyn's 10th Birthday with Tim and Susan. Melissa is their daughter, and her kids are Anthony, Christopher, Katelyn, Christian, and Audry. It was such a blast to go hang out with the kids. They are so awesome! We had delicious sandwiches in the park, and took a crack at the pinata that looked just like Katelyn! The kids had a great time, as you can tell! When the pinanta was finally busted, Kaikaa was right in there with the kids! :o) He's such a goof ball. And when all was said and done, Kaikaa brought his candy stash over to the other people in the park that had kids as well. He never stops amazing me with his kindness and thoughtfulness towards others. I would have never thought of that, and he naturally just goes for it! That is one of the many many reasons that I love this man! :o) (Sorry but I just can't help bragging about him!)

So since Sunday we didn't really rest at all, we rested a bit on Monday, and we rested yesterday. Kaikaa's back was hurting so bad, and is finally starting to subside a little bit. This is the worst he has felt since we've been here. I am so amazed by the way the weather has affected him. He is able to move better, and he is so happy when that sun hits his skin. (Finally the metal is warm!) So today is another day of resting and relaxing... maybe a trip to the beach today, but we'll see.

Sunday~Finally A Day Of REST

Hello all! As you know we have been NON-STOP since we got down here. It has been fun, but I am SO THANKFUL today is Sunday!! We are going to the New Life Church with Tim and Susan, and I am super excited. I love the music there, and everyone is so nice. We are really finding a niche for ourselves down here. I just feel more complete when we get to go to church together and have fellowship with other people that love Jesus just as much as we do. I am so thankful for the gift of life, and thankful for the life that God has laid before me. I feel like everything has fallen into place since we moved here. Not saying that Washington wasn't a great place to live, but I just have this overwhelming feeling that we are meant to do great things down here!
Susan and Tim are both part of the worship team at New Life. I am going to try out for the choir. I truly have missed singing in choir since High School. I have such a passion for singing. I am hoping that they have a spot for me :o) (Either way I'm gunna be singing for the Lord!)
I am just so thankful its Sunday, and we get to come home from church and just be together.

We went rock hunting in Cambria... it was so wonderful! I totally loved it! I found a ton of agots! :o) I felt like I was like 10 years old again! It was great with Tim and Susan! We had a TON of fun! Hope you like the pics!
